The SBB Re 460 is an electric locomotive with a top speed of 230 km/h that operates under 15 kV AC. It is operated by the Swiss national railway operator (SBB) in long-distance passenger trains in Switzerland. They were originally built with 3-level GTO converters from ABB that used Direct Self-Control (DSC), but were refitted with IGBT converters upon refurbishment.
