I loved hanging out in Kirk's shop… trying out guitars as he built them. I wrote "Laguna Lag" while he was working on a guitar the shipper had demolished. The insurance company had written it off, but Kirk took it as a challenge. 

We called the guitar he made for me, 'Our Guitar.'
