Some wounds leave no visible scars.
They begin with a passing remark.
An unquestioned assumption.
A conclusion accepted long before it is understood.
Bias always arrives before the truth.
Rarely does it call itself bias.
Instead, it speaks as certainty.
As common sense.
As experience.
As righteousness.
Little by little,
A feeling is doubted.
A memory is questioned.
A life begins to lose faith in itself.
Until even breathing becomes heavy.
Self-serving bias.
Confirmation bias.
The halo effect.
Emotional attribution.
The Dunning–Kruger effect.
Projection.
Names can explain how the mind works.
But they cannot explain why a single sentence can remain within a heart for years.
Knowledge can illuminate.
It cannot erase.
So the weight that language could never carry, became music.
There will always be rain.
There will always be clouds.
Some will search for the moon.
Some will follow the stars.
And some, will simply wait for a moment
Without judgment.
Without labels.
Without prejudice.
Only breath.
The sky has never asked to be believed.
The moon has never argued for its place.
The stars have never needed to prove their light.
They simply remain.
For every life
still
barely breathing.
