Description

PROMPTING IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL & ONE THAT WILL BE INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT TO GET GENUINE LEARNING BENEFITS FROM AI •
If your goal is to actually learn from AI and not use it to bypass the learning process, how you prompt for answers using LLMs and how you develop that as a skill, is essential.
I discuss that and much more about the benevolent uses of AI to enrich human intelligence and experience on the latest Huberman Lab podcast out now with Dr Fei Fei Li.
Fei Fei is a professor of computer science and expert in AI as well as computer vision Stanford She has also been called the godmother of AI.
She is not only expert in its design and uses, but also one of the main people addressing the ethical issues with AI in education, brain plasticity in kids and adults, and more.
Our conversation covers material critical for everyone to understand and learn to navigate AI…
… not just to avoid the potential pitfalls of AI use, but to glean the best of what it has to offer to enrich our brains and humanity.
Dr Li is both a remarkable scientist and person. That clearly comes through in our discussion.
I assure you, thanks to Fei Fei, there’s something valuable in this episode for everyone.

Education should cultivate human beings, not future employees. The ability to define objectives, understand audiences, gather relevant information, and communicate clearly has always been at the heart of a good education. These are not new "prompt engineering" skills but long-standing intellectual skills developed through literature, writing, science, and history. Rebranding them to fit the latest technology trend is unnecessary. To sum it up, reducing education to workforce preparation is a fundamentally distortion of education values!
