Description

I wonder if when Ito retires, Miyazaki will return to the band as the main saxophonist? His tone feels somewhat similar to Ito's while also having much more technical skill, and of course his style is already perfect for T-Square. I know there's a chance they bring in a completely new saxophonist, but I can't really think of anyone who would fit that role. The closest would be either Luna Watanabe or Reo Soneda. Watanabe's style is very similar to Honda's, but I doubt she would want to be a full-time member of the band when it would mean far less time for the many other projects she's in. Soneda has a style that's very fitting for T-Square and his EWI playing is fantastic, but I feel like his sax tone is a bit unrefined and would feel like a step down for the band. Miyazaki returning really feels like the best choice in my opinion.
