这个舞蹈工作坊由密大音乐剧系大四生Timmy Thompson编舞，以碧昂斯Beyonce最新专辑RENAISSANCE为灵感，融合了专辑中的Pure/Honey, Alien Superstar, Sumer Renaissance三首歌！！这是我迄今为止参加过最喜欢的舞蹈工作坊，大家一起跟着碧剧的神专一起Vogue真的很快乐

When Beyonce released Renaissance in the summer of
'22, I gagged and reeled and quite literally danced all night in my empty apartment. It wasn't just the jaw dropping beats, the skillfully explored themes or the gloriousness of her voice - but it was her decision to thoughtfully pay homage to the culture of the LGBTQ community. The underground LGBTQ ball scene has been around since the thirties. It was and is a space in which the community practice giving each other the love that they are denied. Pioneered by such legendary houses of Labeija, Extravaganza, & ninja - ball culture, house, voguing are all a product of surviving widespread hatred, disenfranchisement and dispossession - most notably in the 80's when the AIDS epidemic ravaged the community. LGBTQ youth who were rejected from their families would be taken in by house Mothers (who were most often trans women of color). These Mothers would create chosen families for these people and help them get jobs and education. In their spare time, the balls became a place in which these houses could live out their wildest fantasies and the lives that were denied to them. And in doing so, they created a world in which fashion, consumerism and sensationalism become fodder for art and commentary, the binary becomes obsolete, gender becomes performance, sex is liberation, and love is everything.
