This is the first session of the Photography Association's Main Training Course 2025!
This session starts with the very fundamentals, covering the principles of how a camera forms an image. We will introduce the history of photographic technology and explore various types of cameras. We'll then dive into the core concept of exposure and the "exposure triangle": aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. The lecture will also detail essential concepts such as dynamic range, exposure compensation, safe shutter speed, depth of field, and focal length, providing you with the foundational knowledge to begin your journey in photography.
