《天海一心》真的太好听了！感谢舒楠老师创作出如此动听的歌曲，周深的独唱版一发布，Alex和我一拍即合，立刻开始着手英文版的创作。

在我们迄今为止翻译过的所有周深歌曲中，这首大概是最难的一首（也许只有《缝合》能和它相比）！多种原因交织在一起，让我们再次意识到中文和英文在许多层面上的巨大差异。

从英国人的视角来看，原歌词意境深远、层次丰富、充满诗意，把很多情感和画面浓缩在寥寥数语之中。那些轻柔的重复、优美的描写，会随着歌曲的推进，在脑海中逐渐搭建出一幅画面——一种连接、平和与纯净的情感。而这些意境在英文中很难被忠实地呈现。英语结构不同，虽然也能很诗意，但在文化上很难建立同样的联结。

不过，我们还是觉得要试一试。因为这首歌不仅描绘了两颗心灵合一的深情，也象征了一个国家，一个民族“一心同体”的情感，而对我们来说，它也承载着跨越大洋的友谊和共鸣。我们或许无法完全复刻原歌词的诗意，更无法复制周深那份清澈纯净的声音，但我们仍希望听的人能感受到那份穿越天空与海洋的连接：两颗心同频共振。

《天海一心》is truly beautiful! Many thanks to Mr. Shu Nan for creating such a wonderful song. The moment Zhou Shen’s solo version was released, Alex and I immediately clicked and began working on the English version.

Of all the songs by Zhou Shen that we've translated so far, this was probably the most difficult (except perhaps for "Fix You / Suture")! This was due to several intertwining reasons, all of which reinforced to us just how different the Chinese and English languages are on many levels. 

From a British perspective, the original lyrics are so deep, layered with meaning and poetic imagery, and yet manage to portray so much in very few words. The gentle repetition and beautiful descriptions build an image in your mind as the song crescendos, filled with a feeling of connection, of peace and purity, and it's one that the English translation struggles to convey faithfully. The structure of English is very different, and although it can be very poetic, culturally, the same connections are difficult to make.

However, we felt it was important to try our best, because this song captures not only the profound emotions of oneness for two souls, and for China as one nation & one people, but also some personal feelings for us as distant friends across the ocean. We may not be able to match the poetry of the original lyrics, nor the clear purity of Zhou Shen's original song, but we hope others can feel this loving connection of two hearts as one, across skies and oceans.
