把垂直的一块装甲倾斜，水平厚度等效是增加了，但防护的投影面积减少了。（如果有几何学的不好的人理解不了，试想一个纸板立起来刚好挡住自己，倾斜放置，自己的头胸就露出来了） 如果保持同样的防护投影面积，装甲就要更大的面积，整车更重。 如果要保持整车重量不变，倾斜装甲就要变薄，最后水平等效和之前垂直装甲其实一样。其实就是一个平行四边形等高的几何问题。 当然，同重量同防护投影面积的薄的倾斜装甲可以更容易使水平切入的炮弹发生跳弹，但是也更容易发生装甲更大面积碎裂。如果炮弹射入角不是水平方向，而是高角度射入。同重量同防护投影面积更薄的倾斜装甲反而降低了防护水平。 也不知道是什么时候开始，防护不够倾斜凑，倾斜装甲破万法了。[doge]
